NCI-AD Team Presents at USAging Conference

The NCI-AD team recently presented data on the outcomes of older adults from the 2023-24 NCI-AD Adult Consumer Survey at the USAging Conference. "What do we want? Data! When do we want it? Now!" showcased data from National Core Indicators (NCI) on social isolation, community engagement and relationships for people with disabilities and older adults who use state-funded long-term services and supports (LTSS). The presenters described what NCI data shows about social connections among older adults, older adults with physical disabilities and older adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities relative to one another and their younger peers. The presenters also described what the data shows about how these social connection outcomes are connected to broader health and community living outcomes. The presenters discussed strategies for leveraging this data with various groups, including LTSS users and families, state policy makers and more.
